My art is contemporary renderings of everyday life both realistic and whimsical. Most images are available in the original form, and as prints, collages, lithographs and several other formats.
I especially enjoy making images of cats and their activities. All of my cat drawings are based on rescued cats. My painted rocks also depicting cats that I have met or rescued, are a unique aspect of my art. These three-dimensional paintings are all original one-of-a-kind pieces. If you collect cat art; sell cat accessories or gifts; or just love cats, I know you will enjoy my work. I am happy to discuss wholesale availability.
How My Work Came About
I’ve been rescuing abandoned cats all my life and drawing just as long. For years I resisted drawing cats, as capturing that intangible “essence” of the cat seemed to elude my efforts. In 1995, in appreciation for extraordinary efforts from the Scratching Post Cat Shelter on my behalf, I decided to try drawing cats again. The first pen and ink drawing was a design for a thank you card for the shelter to send to contributors. It was very well received and soon I was creating more pieces inspired by my rescue work.
Proceeds from the sale of my artwork are used to support my rescue work. Currently I am caring for a number of cats plus two dogs that have been abandoned in my neighborhood. Due to the nature of the community in which I live, there is an endless supply of abandoned animals in need. Your purchases are greatly appreciated.
